Calacatta Macaubas has a soft white to warm cream background with fine gray veins that branch across the slab. It gives a Calacatta look in a hard natural quartzite.
Quartzite is a natural stone that is harder than granite and much harder than marble. It handles heat well and resists scratches, so it works in busy kitchens. Most quartzites need sealing to protect against stains, and we seal them at installation.
Its veins are thin and spread out, so it looks calm on long perimeter runs and elegant on islands.
It pairs well with white, cream and greige cabinets and with brass or polished nickel fixtures.
