A deep charcoal-black porcelain with a fine, stone-like texture inspired by Italian basalt, in a matte finish.
Porcelain slabs are made from fine clays and minerals fired at very high heat. They are very hard, resist scratches, heat and stains, do not need sealing, and hold their color in the sun, so they work indoors and outdoors. They are thinner than stone, so we often use a mitered edge for a thicker look.
The matte texture hides fingerprints and water spots, and porcelain holds up to sun, so it is a strong choice for outdoor kitchens.
It suits modern kitchens with white, wood or black cabinets and works well outdoors.
